Hello internet! Joe Shadwick here. I am an IT Professional, Graphic Designer, and Front-end Web Developer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I’m a self-proclaimed creative thinker with a keen eye for detail, a strong technical ability ,and a boundless enthusiasm for life, information technology, desktop support, UI/UX experience, graphic design, and developmental coding. I enjoy immersing myself in any and every project, working closely with clients on fellow IT professionals in order to solve all of life’s technological problems.

I am currently working in the field of academia as an IT Manager, providing critical IT services and support (laptops, desktops, servers, storage, etc.) to a user base of technical and non-technical faculty, staff, and students in a diverse environment. My role also helps ensure security for the departments and their users. Support software applications, maintain inventory, manage life cycle processes, provide IT policy enforcement, and other additional administrative tasks as needed. Working with a team of IT professionals, I also deliver desktop support in a diverse (Windows, Apple, mobile devices) managed computing environment using group policies in Active Directory, Apple Remote Desktop, JAMF, SCCM, and image creation. My role consists of working with our website and will need to support the ongoing efforts to update, maintain, and help users with a CMS-driven website. This aspect of my position involves leading some aspects of the websites, producing specifications and designs, and working with users on changes and updates to the site. I’ve had the opportunity to work with many talented and creative individuals on various projects which has allowed me to gain a wealth of knowledge in many areas in the field of IT. This has been a wonderful opportunity and I enjoy working with a talented group of faculty and fellow staff members.
